How to Move Mountains with the Right Frame of Mind

By 24/04/2017Uncategorized

I’m probably never going to get the opportunity to speak to every reader of this piece in person. But if I could, I would love to ask two questions: first; what’s your outlook on life, and second, what drives you? If you’re anything like me, it’s safe to assume self-doubt and fear of failure are words and emotions, not all that unfamiliar to you. IBM founder Thomas J. Watson said the formula for success is quite simple: double your rate of failure. Isn’t that the truth? The reality is that I’m just an average guy with a relentless lust for life, insatiable thirst for accomplishment, and a fearless pursuit of financial freedom. But, hey, maybe that’s just me.

The thing is, many successful people have many anecdotes that could account for their success. But I’m here to tell you that you don’t need an Ivy League education, 18-hour work days, or a bottomless pit of financial or human resources to be successful or happy. Instead of thinking about happiness as the result, think about happiness as the precursor to everything you’ve ever wanted. The best part? Science backs me up on this.

Secret to Your Success

Yes, that’s right, studies suggest that we’ve been overlooking one easy but significant component for obtaining success: happiness. In fact, research in the field of positive psychology has revealed that happiness fuels success and being happy reprograms our brains to be more positive, which results in more engagement, more productivity, and more efficiency in what you do.

In March, we celebrated the International Day of Happiness. But why celebrate only one day, when you can reap the benefits of a positive philosophy throughout the month of March, throughout the year, throughout your life? That’s an exciting idea and, as always, we want to contribute.

As founder and CEO of Neora International and co-founder of Live Happy, I’ve had many opportunities to speak about success as a precursor to happiness to thousands of audiences worldwide. Along with Live Happy co-founder Deborah Heisz, we’ve developed and designed our Live Happy company and magazine into the biggest content aggregator there is on positive psychology, well-being, and all the other things that make you happy. Weaving the science of positive psychology through inspiring features, relatable stories, and sage advice, we help people discover their personal journey of happiness in life, at work, and at home.

You see, most people have it backward. It’s not success that will make you happy. What science has found at Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, and around the world, is that happiness is the precursor to success.

Happiness All Around

That seems easy enough, right? To agree that happiness is easy to obtain?

Right. Finding happiness doesn’t have to be exhaustive or exhausting but rather as simple as doing three gratitudes a day. All you need is to complete a few necessary steps every day until it becomes routine. You don’t have to take quantum leaps to achieve success, but rather by focusing on doing the little things in life.

That’s our goal at Live Happy. We want to increase everyone’s awareness about the benefits of approaching life with a positive philosophy and a happy perspective. Live Happy is leading the global movement to make the world a happier place, and that’s what we’re working toward – establishing a worldwide movement of people connecting, becoming happier while synergistically working together. After all: a group of happy people can go places together they can never go to by themselves.

Saving the best for last! Live Happy fits seamlessly with Neora’s positive philosophy which is why we value each other’s contributions to making the world more joyful. We’re very proud to drive the positive psychology movement, the wellbeing movement, the Live Happy movement around the world. You too can inspire people to live meaningful and purpose-driven lives simply by sharing your happy acts.
